Personalised support for your family
You do not have to work through baby eczema care alone. Our family-run North Sydney clinic is led by Youngmee Lee and Dahbin An, AHPRA-registered Chinese medicine practitioners. We listen to your concerns, review your baby’s skin history and current care, and help you understand suitable next steps. Our focus is personalised assessment and practical guidance you can use at home, alongside your baby’s medical care. Any Chinese medicine option requires careful individual assessment.Â
How can your team help us?
We help you review the care already in place, understand your options and build practical skin-care routines around your family’s needs. You can ask questions and discuss what is manageable at home. Any proposed treatment needs an individual assessment first.
Understanding baby eczema
Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, causes dry, itchy, inflamed skin and often affects babies’ cheeks. A GP should first assess a new rash. Once given the clear, come and see us if you prefer to avoid using steroid creams and other strong medications. Use plain fragrance-free moisturiser, gentle soap-free washing products and avoid overheating. Do not restrict your baby’s or breastfeeding parent’s diet without professional advice. Bring current creams, medicines and relevant reports to a consultation so we can discuss realistic next steps.
When should we see a doctor?
Seek prompt medical review for weeping, crusting, painful blisters, rapidly worsening skin, fever or a baby who seems unwell.
